The Enterprise Development Degree gave me great exposure to a broad range of essential business skills and functions from operations management, accounting, law, marketing and business development. Having set up my very own company alongside studying for the degree. Achieving a first in every year and being added to the Dean's list.
Alongside studying, and running a business I worked part time for PATROLBASE LTD a retail sales position.

Milestone Industrial Flooring is a small business which offered great exposure to multiple business functions and saw me build the company website, produce various marketing materials from brochures to expo stands, while generating sales leads and estimating in the construction sector.

The front line of Nationwide Building Society, handling various customer queries from general banking to savings. A heavily monitored role, I achieved a 5 out of 5 customer satisfaction score throughout my employment and was part of the team selected to improve employee welfare. This experience lead to my dissertation on the effect of Zero hour contracts on employee engagement.
More than just gaming, the course taught a range of skills from working with large documents and complicated programs, Ms Excel, Access, Word, Photoshop, Web design and more. Not only were graphical abilities required, but numerical skills when working with programming within the games we made.
As with University, I worked various jobs to fund my studies, from serving in restaurants to being a mini golf marshal.
I always think it is good fun to share interesting things. For a few years I played Aaron Dingle on ITV's Emmerdale. From being confident in front of a camera, meeting and talking with people from all walks of life, whether they are a director, a celebrity or a fan, the role certainly helped grow my people skills and ability to learn quickly, with new scripts each week.
